Driver’s License
Immediate Issues
The question that everyone asks after they are arrested for a Ventura County DUI is “How do I get my driver’s license back?” When you are arrested for a DUI in Ventura County, the law enforcement officer will almost always take your driver’s license from you. Among the paperwork you receive is a pink, temporary driver’s license, which is part of a California DMV form called a DS 367. As it says on the pink sheet, you have 10 days to request a DMV hearing after you have been arrested for a DUI in Ventura County. If you fail to request your hearing within 10 days, then your driver’s license will automatically be suspended by the DMV when the pink sheet expires 30 days after your arrest. If you have been arrested for a DUI in Ventura County within the last 10 days and have not requested your DMV hearing.
