While Ventura County is the toughest county in the state to get a DUI, the officers, despite being legally entitled to do so, do not always tow your vehicle. Some of the officers will ask if you would like to have it towed to keep it safe or if you would like to have it parked so you can retrieve it when you get out of jail. Unfortunately, getting your car towed and impounded typically costs you about $400-$500, and it is usually anywhere between 2-5 days until you can get your car back. The longer your car stays at the tow yard, the more expensive it will be for you to get it back.
