Ventura County is probably the worst place to get arrested for DUI in the state of California, if not the nation. In many other counties, DUI cases are often reduced to lesser charges if a person pleads guilty early. In Ventura County, the District Attorney’s position is that there are no “plea bargains” in DUI cases. As a result, a person will either be convicted of a DUI or nothing at all.
